    גָּמַרI, Pi. גִּמֵּר (denom. of מוּגְמָר, v. גּוּגְרָא) to perfume (clothes) with burned spices. Bets.22b לְגַמֵּר for the purpose of perfuming clothes. Ber.53a. Hithpa. הִתְגַּמֵּר to be perfumed, soaked with perfume. Sabb.18a you may put mugmar under the clothes on the eve of Sabbath, ומִתְגַּמְּרִין והולכיןוכ׳ and the process of soaking is continued during the entire Sabbath day. Bets. l. c. הבית מִתְגַּמֵּר מאליו the room is perfumed of itself.
